Amir was born in a kibbutz in Israel and grew up in Mexico. He studied architecture in Israel and emigrated to the US in 1989. Amir has used photography to convey a sense of wonder about our natural world and question our relationship to nature.

- Artist Statement: How do we engage with nature? What actions must humanity courageously take to save the incredible diversity and beauty of the Amazon rainforest? With intention and without fear.
- Credits: The quote of the title ends with …” The main thing is to have no fear at all. It is attributed to the Hassidic Rabbi Nachman of Breslov (1772-1810).
- Additional Notes: This photo was taken from the ground of the rainforest in the Amazonian Basin in Ecuador. We are looking at a suspension bridge far up above the canopy, affording a view of the rainforest in all its beauty.
